(ASCEND) Sigs B1 and B6 on MAX with E1

Folks,

	My E1 provider has asked me if it is possible to make my MAX4k
uses B1 signaling, instead of B6, which is in use now.

	The problem reported is that B6 sig is causing some
incompatibilities and some modem hangs. But the most visible problem is
when you dial, and cancels the connection at the exact moment the system
answers, the line stays open to the MAX until a certain timeout defined by
itself... The Telco told me it is not the right behavior, it has to drop
the line just after the user cancels.

	Any help would be apreciated.

	PS: I don't even now what the hell is B1 and B6... :(
