Mauricio,
I'm Technical Manager at All Ways Digital Provider (www.allways.com.br),
Salvador/BA-Brazil. We use MAX4000 with software load 6.0.2. Our telco asked
us to use B1 signaling, but the reason was quite different than yours: one
of our new customers didn't connect at all. After exhaustive examination,
the technicians found that the B6 signaling was not being recognized by the
telcos'central at the customer's end (our central worked fine for 6 months,
signaling B6 to all centrals in our location). So they simply told me: "to
avoid future trouble, you MUST use B1". I'm not sure they're doing what is
better for me, but I have to stay with their rules - as a brazilian, YOU
know what monopoly means... :-(
