...a summary of the comments that I've received so far. 15 people have
responded with a wide variety of suggestions/comments...

(fyi...The following comments don't add up to 15, because some people had
multiple comments.)

- Some customers like specific formats for the manuals, but most like a
variety (print, cd, html) for various situations.
- Received one comment that CD-only doc (like Cisco provides) is not a good
idea.
- Received one request for a Quick Reference that shows configuration steps
but offers no explanations.
- Four customers think the doc is very improved. One customer loves the new
doc.
- Received five requests for real-world examples (especially ospf, bgp, and
multicast).
- Received one request from an internal employee asked us to update the
"Contacting Ascend" section.
- Received two requests for more diagnostic and troubleshooting information.
- Received two comments that the indexes need work.
- Received one comment that the material to be more logically presented.
- Received one comment that we document configuration info on competitive
products.
- Received one comment asking for video guides or Computer-Based Training
(CBT) courses.
- Received one comment asking that the doc be kept more current and that
Ascend include only current doc with new shipments.
- Received one comment that some features and parameters are not documented
at all.
- Received one comment that we supply poor SNMP doc.

We are researching each suggestion to determine which will help the widest
audience. We have a wide readership, and will try to avoid adding something
to help a SINGLE customer which simultaneously hurts the MAJORITY of
customers.
