Also add: ppp chap refuse
If you have auth set to either on the Max.
I did this today and it works although I have a problem that needs an
answer too.
interface Dialer0
ip unnumbered Ethernet0
encapsulation ppp
dialer in-band
dialer idle-timeout 86400
dialer map ip 203.30.236.70 name mars modem-script dialnum 82321111
dialer load-threshold 1
dialer-group 1
no fair-queue
ppp multilink
ppp authentication pap callin
ppp chap refuse
ppp pap sent-username zoo-sa password 7 1513081F57233F
This works perfectly.
It brings up two channels. They form a beautiful little MPP bundle.
If I try and ping the Cisco from the MAX with a packet any larger than
around 1460 bytes the packets get lost.
I have set the MTU on the MAX down to 1200 and I have set a Frame-MTU to a
similar value but it appears the MPP wants to have 1522 byte MTU.
I have slowed the serial ports on the Cisco 2511 to 38400.
I tried setting ip mtu 1200 on the Cisco without any apparent result.
What am I doing wrong?
