(ASCEND) Max 4030 set-up question

Hi,

I've been trying to set up a Max 4030 and I'm
having something of a problem. The Ascend sits on
a private network of four boxes, not connected to
the Internet. The boxes have the IP numbers
192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.4, and the Max is
192.168.1.5.

I've managed to set it up to accept incoming
connections, allocating dynamic IP numbers from
the DHCP server in the range 192.168.1.10 to
192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.20. I can telnet into
the Ascend box and from there I can ping the
other boxes on the ethernet. What I can't do is
connect to any of the IP ports on the ethernet.

Am I missing something obvious here? Can anyone
point me in the right direction?
