This is usually a result of the radius server not being able to do DNS
look-ups (e.g. to check that the NAS is actually authorised to ask). Run a
local (perhaps caching-only) name-server or, less preferably, "hard-wire" the
relevant host names into /etc/hosts on the radius box and place "hosts" before
"bind" in /etc/host.conf (or whatever is the equivalent on the o/s you're
running),
