(ASCEND) TNT Disconnects
We have a TNT in an ISP environment and some users are complaining about
getting disconnected within the first 5 minutes of logging on. They
connect happily and everything seems to work fine before the disconnect
occurs. This sometimes happens to the same user 4 or 5 times in a row, but
eventually a stable connection can be established and the session stays up
for hours (until terminated by the user).
We are running 7.0.4 and are using R2 circuits - We are also using the
single slot CSM3 cards that are *supposed* to be able to take datacalls :>
I hear from Ascend that this problem has occurred in similar setups to ours
and a work around has been to disable data-call (in the call-route profile,
index 1 by default). I did this yesterday and am waiting to hear how
things are going.
I am wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience? If not I guess
I will be waiting for the ga version of 7.2 to arrive and hope the new
modem code will fix it.
If I have left out any detail of our setup that is relevant please let me
know.
