(ASCEND) Software Release Request (Ascend Max 4xxx)

All,

I'm looking for a stable release of software for the Max 4xxx that will
support the entire range of dialup.  That includes analog (9600bps - v.90),
ISDN (56k, 64k, 56k Data Over Voice).  The reason I am asking this is that
the release I'm currently running, 7.0.22, seems to be having a major issue
with analog modem calls.  What are people running out there?  Does anyone
know what software any of the "bigboys" run, if they even use the 4xxx's
anymore?  I'd be interested in the tales people tell of the diffrent
software releases, as finding a good software release from Ascend has always
seemed to be a bit of magic and luck.  Anyone know any releases to stay away
from at all cost?  At least if I can narrow down the list, I may have a
chance of picking something that works well.
