In my opinion it is a problem. What I have done running NAT is go into the
NAT setup and set up a static mapping to the IP of the pipeline for port
23. This will allow you to telnet into it. I suppose you could probably
even open ICMP this way but I haven't tried that or even know what port(s)
to map in that case.
