Re: (ASCEND) Max 4000 Power Supply
Update on the 4000.
We received the new upper power supply and installed it.
Once we replaced fans we were ready to power it up. We only put the unit
back together enough to test everything out. No modem cards installed,
just the chassis together basically. All it did was spin the fans and all
4 lights on front just glowed. Nothing more. Put a terminal cable on it,
and received no data. Guess the power supply failure was a bit more
damaging to the unit that just itself. Possibly the lower power supply is
bad too, but no conclusive proof to that. It looks fine by a visual
check. We are going to put a meter on it and see what we can figure out.
