In the past (don't know now), you either got one of two possible multishelf 
cables.  The first one (2510-0290-001) works fine in most environments.  The 
second cable (I believe the part number for this one is 2510-0290-002) works 
well in all.  The difference between the 2 is minor.  The 001 cable has the 
shield grounded at both ends.  The other cable has the shield grounded at 
just one end.  I'm no cable expert, but I don't think standard CAT 5 twisted 
pair is grounded.

as I want / have to stack two of our TNTs next week I wanted to ask if there 
is anybody around who could tell me something about multishelf systems and 
the problems they have.

As I read the docs on multishelf systems (from version 7.0.0) i was 
wondering if you really need a special cable from Ascend / Lucent to connect 
two or more TNTs or if they are just selling a twisted-pair cable for a few 
hundred bucks or something. ;)

I would greatly appreciate any infos on multishelf systems and the cable. :)
