Re: An "easy" MU/Fighter balance fix?





I am somewhat concerned about the idea that the different classes are somehow 
unbalanced. It is not hard to create a "fighter" class character who is able
to cast spells effectively as well. If one reduces the wc of magic oriented
characters then a trade off should be made (perhaps giving them more spell
points?).


On another issue, I've recently tried to add new character types to my own
installation of crossfire, mainly by hacking around with the archetypes file.
I have had problems in adding character with skills (such as smithing, bowyer
etc) although I can start playing when I try and use the skill crossfire
crashes. Is this a problem with these skills in general or could it be
my implementation?
