That would also make it much harder to create +stat weapons
(which is another balance issue).  Just something to keep in
mind.

Perhaps the stat increase should be tied to a particular skill
level, not overall level.  That way fighters would get higher
physical stats over time and wizards would improve their INT
and POW.

That also means that you would have to try playing all the different
skills in order to get a maxed-out character.
