CF: is_floor and other controls?

Does anyone know exactly what arch flags affect how objects are seen 
through? For example, when stacking multisquare archetypes, the top left 
corner will show the archetype below, while the other squares will remove 
the archetype below and just show any is_floor archetype below. The same 
happens with joinable archetypes, where it's ok to place one arch, but 
when filling a larger area, only the last one will show any non is_floor 
archetype below. Is this a bug, a feature, or have I simply missed some 
flag? :)
