I don't think I've seen this issue addressed recently...
What is the point of parties, anyway?
The whole idea of distributing experience "evenly", is just grossly
unrealistic.

The only sensible use of parties, I think, is for group movement, and
"ptell".
Perhaps the whole idea of "shared experience" should just be chucked.
If the premise is "you gain experience by watching", then you should give
experience to EVERYONE in the room, not just people who happen to be
"partied" with the active player.
