CF: Shop Quirk

I have know idea what happened here:

I'm shopping, pickup up a rod of detect magic that I don't have enough for) and
try to walk out.  I want to know how much I'm short.  When I go to drop it,
it's not in my inventory list.  If I try to leave, the system tells me it
is...???  I'm basicly "trapped"
