What happens when the server crashes? Seems like the server would have
to send a list of all players whenever something changes, _and_ send
the empty list when it is started. Also, my watchdog patch could be
used to send "I'm alive" packets (or the current player list) to the
metaserver, so the metaserver can remove servers that have crashed but
didn't restart.

All this is assuming that there are no bad guys.
