If there were no other players on the map, just save the map, the
player, and wait for the player to come back with a new connection.
Then, offer a five to ten second countdown before the simulation
resumes.
Also, the "wimp" run-away could be applied to a player if there are
other players on the map.
Use the Netrek method ... give the server a call-back port number so
that the client can recover from an unexpected disconnect caused by
routing or hang-up issues.
Further, in the gtkclient, detect window close events and force a quit
to be sent to the server. Handle SIGINT the same way.
