Even better, when we split classes & races (as seems to be a popular
idea) add sex as a variety as well.

On the variety of class vs race, I love the idea of characters just
starting as a human, elf, dwarf, etc and that gives them a set of basic
skills, which they can develop and expand on later.  It would be like the
current system but all of the 'classes' would be races such as human, elf,
etc.  Hmm..didn't explain that well but hopefully everyone got the idea.

Here is my suggestion of starting races:

Human, Half-Elf, High Elf, Hill Dwarf, Halfling, Gnome, Half Orc.

Sound awfully AD&Dish, well that is because it is :)  We could add
Mountain Elves, Wood Elves, etc later.

I think I might do a little hacking :)
