Nope; I'm using pets to help me accumulate stats and $$$ without my
attention. Consider this scenario:

I'm hiring a pet, then go to some places which I've forgotten it's name,
but essentially a room with full of goblin generators. And the landscape
is so special that, only one goblin can attack me at any time, yet my
pet can move around killing any goblins near me. I can also change the
*readied* skill anytime and the pet can help me increase the experience
in THAT skill.

Now leave it alone; go to sleep or go out shopping. If you want, leave
it for 24 hrs. Then kill all goblins and collect everything. Usually
that means several thousand platinum coins and tens of thousands of
experience point :)
