| This totally broken boulder&gates mechanism. Such as used in new Scorn
| gate house andin raffles.
| However I cannot remember the grass problem.
| Would you please stop "fixing" those imaginary problems?

This is NOT an imaginary problem.
In previous version of crossfire (haven't got new one up yet)
a closing gate will not only roll boulders and other objects of it
but it will also roll other strange things.
For example a spell effect like from holy word or burning hands will
`roll off'. Also if you want to hide a gate by puting it under a floor,
the cobble stones, grass, buttons, whatever will also `roll off'.
Actually I figure that bug was really a feature. Suddenly the floor
behide you slides aside and some gates spring up, opps you must have
triggered something and set off a trap!
The moral was that you could NOT put ANYTHING permantally on top of a
gate or spikes. Not ever another different set of spikes to create
a `this button OR that button' will close at least one of the gates
here. If you did and the closing gate was below the other, the other
gate would magically `roll off'!!!!
It is both bug and feature!
| Thats all for now.
|
| And please release next version as soon as possible, but only tested, and
| with bug-fixes for REPORTED bugs.
|
The gate roll bug was reported to this list as a ``did you know''
but not as something that was totally wrong.
