Using Linux w/ MediaOne Express One-way cable modems

Has anyone had success configuring Linux networking
with MediaOne Express one-way cable modems? The trick
with the one-way modems is that all data is send
upstream via a modem connection.

I took a cursory glance for any HOW-TOs on the
subject, but didn't find one for this type of
configuration.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
