MySQL weirdness
I recently installed MySQL + PHP3 on my home server -- actually, I did it
twice, since the first time, as it turned out, I had some serious
misunderstandings of the best way to go about it.
Everything is working fine now, but for reasons I don't understand, every
night when it tries to rotate the logs (or whatever it's doing) I get an
error from cron.daily reporting that "missingok" is an unknown option.
I managed to find some references to similar errors on the MySQL mailing
list archives, but I couldn't really make heads or tails of it -- the
messages are so garbled it's hard to tell the problem from the solution...
Anybody have a straightforward answer on this one? The server is running
RH 5.2 (actually, 5.2 with a number of libs from 6.x, and an updated custom
kernel) MySQL was built with mostly default options & paths, and apart from
this hiccup, runs like a charm.
