Samba questions.

I recently set up Samba for the first time, but am unable to log on to the
server from windows (bad password).  I have enabled the "use encrypted
passwords" but don't know what else to check. I believe the following are
the necessary lines from smb.conf. I have attempted to log on using an
existing username and password.


[global]
   workgroup = MYGROUP
   server string = Samba Server
   hosts allow = 192.168.1. 127.
   encrypt passwords = yes

[homes]
   comment = Home Directories
   browseable = no
   writable = yes
