RE: [TCLUG:9472] bios
Well, there have been various bios-changing proggies for various bios lines
thru-out the years, that you can run from Windows/etc, but regardless, the
changes you are referring to would require a hard reset on your bus at the
very least. You're going to have to power-cycle, no way around it.
On a different note, the p3-600 coppermines are out already. The 733's are
out as well, I do believe, if not in volume.
On yet another note, aside from the $$ difference between the equivalent
Athlon to Coppermine cpu, Intel has finally reclaimed the cpu crown. It will
be interesting to see who wins each leg of the clock speed race, but tech
for tech, the Coppermine wins all over the Athlon.

Subject: [TCLUG:9472] bios
Does anyone know how to get the bios of a running computer? I need to
upgrade
PIII cpu's from a 450 to dual 600, and need to verify that the bios is ok.
I would like to check this out without powercycling my co-located production
webserver box. BTW, does anyone know when Intel released the PIII 600
chips?
