I originally had the contents as just:

/home     auto.home

but changed it to just +auto.master on someone else's advice.
It is now:

+auto_master
/home     auto.home

> sure you add that, /etc/init.d/autofs reload, and make sure /home is empty
> so it doesn't try and overwrite the old mounts

The automounter is not running, nor does it start when I do autofs
start. There are no messages in /var/log/messages.
