I have a question for the group. What do you guys (specifically those who are
running nearly similar HW / SW setups with different processor types) think
about the performance difference between AMD chips vs. Intels. I have always
used Intels, but that doens't make it right :-) I may just purchase an AMD
when my PIII800 is due for a change.
I don't really consider this off-topic as I would like to hear about linux
performance as I don't use windows for anything (I don't even have to admin NT
at work anymore!)
Any thoughts?
