Debian Installs
1. Make sure you have all 5 disks from the potato distribution:
rescue.bin
root.bin
drivers-1.bin
drivers-2.bin
drivers-3.bin
Very important. Potato has better support of devices than Slink.
Also, Potato simply has a better install procedure.
2. Make sure the hardware you're trying to install Debian on is
supported by the PCMCIA Linux stuff.
3. Don't try to install Debian from the LinuxCare BBC. It only
installs the Slink version of Debian (Linux 2.0.36), which I'm sure
you do not want. There are enough differences between Potato and
Slink to warrent the extra time you need to download the floppy
images. Trust me.
If you've tried all of this, then it's time to start asking yourself
if the hardware worked in the first place.
