Adding PP Zip support after initial install

After the installfest I have two working computers with Linux
installed.

I would like to get both of them talking to my parallel port Zip 100.
During installation, I think neither of them specified any SCSI support.
(On my earlier Red Hat installs, Zip support depended on SCSI support.)

How do I convince my installed systems to talk to sda1 and sda4 now?
