Wow, Peter, that last part was uncalled for!

It would seem he was complaining about the _individual_ rpm for java
1.1.7 and not about the rpm program itself. And to think he was nice
enough to let everyone know exactly what he did to get it working. Oh,
the cruel heartlessness in this season of joy, I must weep!

Anyway, RTFEM before you speak ;)

You can force the installation of rpm packages so that they skip
dependency checking (--nodeps).  You can be even more of a badass by
combining it with the --force flag.  What's more, you can RTFM for
rpm and
not get so immediately frustrated with it.
