Re: [TCLUG:2951] Samba anyone?

Thanks for the ideas.

I checked the permissions on the files, and even for kicks, changed it to
777 (readable, writeable and executable by anyone).

According to the logs, I'm connecting as user "nobody". That should be Ok
if I've got the files "777'd" right?

When I open the Office 97 folder, there is an entry in the log file:
1998/12/29 13:32:00 peanut (192.168.1.2) connect to service Office97 as user
nobody).

When I open one of the directories inside of Office 97, nothing happens in
the logs, and I'm still unable to see anything.

Any thoughts?

Also, anyone know if one of the Samba books are available in local
bookstores? I have heard that the O'Reilly one won't be out until 1/7/99 or
so, and I have not been able to find the other one (can't remember title) in
bookstores around here...
