You can add built-in mainframe access to Michael Hicks excellent list of   
tricks.  I was registering from home via x3270 long before the U of MN   
got their web-based registration system running.  You can point out that   
many of the tricks which you're demoing from a $50 RedHat package (or   
whatever) are possible through Windows, they just cost you lots more   
($350 for an X-server, $400 for a 3270 access package, ...).  Don't   
forget to point out the excellent low-cost support for developing   
business applications, perhaps show your audience the latest Linux   
Journal article on running a pizza order/delivery service on Linux.
