Base practice is a mode that the Vanilla Netrek server may be set into.
In this mode, players join to play a Base class ship, SB, and the
software organises teams of robots to attack it.

There is a server available somewhere that is configured for this;
unfortunately I do not recall the name.

The server newbie.psychosis.net is another practice server that is
oriented toward team play and eventual game goal rather than just
practice of dogfighting.
