(ASCEND) max 2000 - calls get connected over disabled PRI

Hi,

I just noticed something strange with a Max2000, maybe someone has an
explanation.
Due to a remote update from Ap36 to Ap38 I decided to disable the E1/PRI
trunk so that no users could dial into the box. The users that were online
got kicked as the trunk went down, of course, and I got all the question
marks in the E1 display etc... Funny thing was, a few seconds later calls
were again connected and sessions came back up, even though the trunk was
disabled. Obviously I was completely baffled for a minute, then I turned
the line back on. This time nobody got kicked, instead the
D-channel/connected
channels came to life in the menu.
What a nice feature, it sure made my day :)
I wonder if this will also work if I pull the PRI plug altogether, it
would save a lot of telco costs... :)

Seriously, does anyone think I should mail this to support?
