In my experience the quality of the POTS conversion done by the BitSURFR (and by Pipelines too) is nowhere near as good as what you get from the switch, so it works a lot better on a real POTS line even if the distance is several thousand feet - versus two feet in the BitSURFR case. I've never got a connect at anything > 33.6 while hanging off the back of a BitSURFR or Pipeline. -Phil ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

References:

Re: (ASCEND)56K

From: "Leon McCalla" <ascend@caribbeanlink.com>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) Re: Dyn Stat WAS Users online time...

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Re: OSPF usability?

Prev by thread: Re: (ASCEND)56K

Next by thread: Re: (ASCEND)56K

Index(es):

Main

Thread
