Maybe....but then so are bug-fixes if we want to be picky....if you look at the release notes of each revision that we get from Rockwell, you would see that there are as many enhancements as bug-fixes in many of them. We *could* just keep these releases in the "incrementals" only - but then 5.0Ap36 would still have Rockwell version 1.00 code ;( >The reason why I ask is because things like >this can either a) be useful, or b) break something unexpectedly that >the end user may be doing. Such as parsing output of commands >automatically, etc. You can be the judge - what we are doing is dumping the output from the AT&v2 command into the debug output. BUT, THIS IS DEBUG.....i.e. that area of black-magic that is never fully supported/documented due to it's very developer-oriented nature. Heck, it may even disappear with the next release if the developers decided it was no longer useful. >How can Ascend be sure that they are being complete in their release >notes? With a disclaimer(?): ALL DEBUG OUTPUT, BOTH SOLICITED AND UNSOLICITED IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
