Hello boys & girls

one of our customers has been experiencing extreeemely slow
TCP transfer rates after I upgraded our max to 5.0Ap5. It usually
does not get above 0.03 K/sec. Ping times are excellent though.

He is using an apparently no-brand internal 28.8Modem; ATI3
yields 'V1.400-V34_DP ROCKWELL RPI(TM) MODEM+01'; ATI6 gives
'RC288DPi Rev 05BA'. 

Any clues as to what can be done here? Please note that this
modem has worked with the old ascend software (4.5something).
