I loved James note, he covered it all in this most recent issue of the USR hype of X2/56Flex and as he said it is a real lose/lose. It joged my memory of the last major fiesco that USR launched on the industry just a couple of years ago, the "33.6" "standard" that wasn't. I got to the point I had a prepared statement for customers and those who had insisted that the new USR modem was infact "the standard". This was a chase the fastest and drag everyone else with you. I still have one of the early "33x" modems that I had to buy, then try and find out it didn't work, then wait while USR prepared then sent me the new chip, which didn't work, then get the one that did. I had resolved never to buy another USR (or early standard) product since then. ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.shore.net/~dreaming/ascend-faq> or <ftp://ftp.shore.net/members/dreaming/ascend-faq.txt>

Prev by Date: Re: (ASCEND) MAX TNT MIBs

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Requested disconnect not clean, why?

Prev by thread: (ASCEND) Requested disconnect not clean, why?

Next by thread: (ASCEND) P75 pots problem

Index(es):

Main

Thread
