Hi all! We're running an Ascend Max 4000, and have run into some oddities in our log files. The Radius detail files for the Max are quite unpredictable. Sometimes a stop record will be generated with "normal" info like login, duration, etc... Other times, entries will show up without a login, and other times there will be duplicates of any of the above types of entries. It seems as though the entries without a login id are caused when a connections fails. For example, a user tries to log in using an incorrect password. The bottom line is, these log files don't work with the "lineparser" script that has served us so well in the past with our Livingston Portmasters. Does anyone know if this is a problem with Radius, or the Max, or if there is another method of processing the Max detail files? Here is an example of an entry in our 'users' file: sclarke Password = "UNIX" User-Service-Type = Framed-User, Framed-Protocol = PPP, Framed-Address = 255.255.255.254, Framed-Netmask = 255.255.255.255, Framed-Routing = None, Framed-Compression = Van-Jacobsen-TCP-IP, Framed-MTU = 1500 Any assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Jimmy ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.shore.net/~dreaming/ascend-faq> or <ftp://ftp.shore.net/members/dreaming/ascend-faq.txt>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) USR Modems and MAX4000

Next by Date: (ASCEND) NT Workstation ICMP traffic bringing line up

Prev by thread: (ASCEND) NT Workstation ICMP traffic bringing line up

Next by thread: (ASCEND) USR Modems and MAX4000

Index(es):

Main

Thread
