I'd reserve judgement until there is field data on the new modem cards.
If they have offloaded the CPU as they claim they have done, they might
well have resolved this.
BTW, is the reason you can't put 96 modems in the 4004 just a limited
number of TDM slots? (I'm a curious sort...)
