Enable the TCP Modem Option.

>From the MIF:
LOAD 900.ETHERNET.0
SET TCP MODEM Options...TCP MODEM Enabled=Yes
SAVE 900.ETHERNET.0

Then telnet to port 6150 on your max and you'll get connected to
the terminal server.
