(ASCEND) secure access firewall performance on pipe50
Anyone here used Secure Access Firewall on a P50 and seen major performance
problems? With no other config change than switching the connection profile
data filter from a filter to a firewall profile, my latency across the WAN link
(128k ISDN) jump from steady ~29ms to 200+ms, with spikes to as high as 1200ms
(with no other traffic than the little 56 byte pings and replies going
over the WAN link). Throughput drops from ~14K/s to about 1.3K/s. Tech support
has been completely useless (the few times that they have actually called back
during east coast business hours).
