You can go to AScend Web site and see the release notes to this software
version. I had a similar situation with Zoltrix modems, it is a know
bug in this software release. I receive an email from Ascend TAC and
they told me that pls upgrade to 5.0Ap27. You can fix momentarily the
trouble adding 4 commass ,,,, after dial the number.
