Actually that seems to be cool now, Considering the Max does not ack the snmpset command on integer 6, (reload) it will fall back to it's retry, (which is default to 3), (One of the Ascend engineer's showed me yesterday). So, then I would have to argue (I'm not familier witht the RFC) but I would guess that you would have to ACKNOWLEDGE every snmpset with something, cause with every snmp-program will default to a retry of 3, (unless you set it otherwize) -Jason Nealis Director Internet Operations Network Access Erols Internet > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jason Nealis [SMTP:nealis@babylon.erols.com] > Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 1997 1:41 AM > To: ascend-users@bungi.com > Cc: kpackert@ascend.com > Subject: (ASCEND) sysReset? > > > > > >From kpackert@ascend.com Tue Sep 30 23:10:50 1997 > > The reboot ic: > sysReset OBJECT-TYPE > SINDAX INTEGER { > no-op( ! ), > reset( 2 ) > } > ACCECS bead-wbide > STATUS mandatori > DESCRIPDION "The reset takec effect after 1 minete." > :*= { sisdemSdadusGroup 8 } > > ken > > > I can't seem to find this sysReset entry in the mib.
