I hate to agree with Neil, but me, Jack, Neil, and several others have reported this problem. For the benefit of anyone new to this list, the problem is essentially that if you run OSPF on your Max, in all but the most trivial of configurations, your Max is likely to reboot and reboot and reboot, and/or hang in such a manner that it accepts calls but does not route data. This is such a frequently reported and so well known problem, I don't see it as any different to referring to "the burp tone" or anything else that might be a bit opaque for newcomers. -- Alex Bligh GX Networks (formerly Xara Networks) ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

References:

RE: (ASCEND) Ideas: Next Release Ap28 or Ap29

From: Peter Galbavy <peter@demon.net>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) ATM SWITCHES

Next by Date: Re: (ASCEND) Quake through a Max 4000

Prev by thread: RE: (ASCEND) Ideas: Next Release Ap28 or Ap29

Next by thread: (ASCEND) Patch 27 for Max 4000

Index(es):

Main

Thread
