(ASCEND) RE: Uh Oh . . .

Hmmm. Okay, the local Ascend hack was actually on site a few months back
and confirmed that no, nothing was _obviously_ wrong with the config
(Columbus, OH - Morningstar is right down the road). I understand how
analog connections can be rocky at times, but this seems reproducible enough
to mitigate that.

I am interested, though, in your comments about the site CO being a problem.
It would not be the first time, but how could they possibly dork up a PRI T1
such that analog connections work great for 15 to 90 minutes, then lose
connectivity (line stays up), and then maybe even recover?

If what you're driving at is, "Well maybe in that particular case it was the
user's modem, and then in another it was a noisy phone line, and in a third
it was the user's CO, and in the fourth it was the user's mediocre TCP/IP
stack" then I guess I can let it go, but that's not what's going on here. I
don't like it any better than the next guy, but the common element in all
these "one off" bad calls is the Max at my end.

Any thoughts from anyone, please feel free to share. I'll shut up now.
