    I've got several customers with 56K HCF PCI Modems which are
Rockwell based chipset usually found in Compaqs. Currently if they call
a 56K Max, they get a connect speed of 14.4, whereas a v.34 Max gets
33.6. Does anyone have a init string or some other trick that allows
these modems to connect to a 56K Max at full speed (33.6 or above)? All
of my Maxen are 4004 or 4048 w/5.0Ap51. I tried a Max 4048 with 7.0b as
this modem is v.90 and it still got a 14.4 connect rate. Any ideas?
