(ASCEND) Loading a `fat' load nearly from scratch..

Hi,

is there such thing as a `thin' load which is aware of how to load even
the newest firmware. This would be really useful

i)  to upgrade _really_ old maxen's which are still running old software
ii) to load maxens with a previously broken tftload via the SerPort

...without having to load the whoknowsth xyz-aware-uvw-load...
