That does indeed work perfectly and saves me having to downgrade - thanks!
However I can't send you a copy of the wddialout trace as there's nothing
to send - I get the "WANDATA dialout display is ON" message when I enter
the command and then nothing more after that, even though syslog shows the
outgoing call taking place.

I looked on ftp.ascend.com for the 7.0.0 release notes but couldn't find
them under /pub/Doc/Max.
