Re (ASCEND) Non-Ascend Clients

I've been using the following

Cisco 700 series (aka Bay Networks? or something). Doesn't run IOS (wait for 800 series) but costs are similar to equivalent Ascends. Works fine and reliable (500+ in the field so far) for dial on demand, ISDN callback, etc.

Cisco 1600 series. At least it runs IOS ;-) They work fine as do the 2500 series. Don't forget the "callin" on your ppp authentication statements........

Subject: (ASCEND) Non-Ascend Clients

I'm wondering what folks experiences are with non-pipeline
clients (I'm talking ISDN routers/bridges here, not analog
modems) dialing into MAXen. Anyone know of anything that
works as smoothly as a pipeline does in terms of Dial on
Demand, DBA, and reliable connections.

I'm wondering particularly about the Zyxel 100IH. But if
anyone knows of something else that works well when con-
necting to a MAX, I'd like to hear about it.

Thanks,

ct
